A – You have 3 options:
· Every menu option in WeGolf on your mobile has a help screen
· Read the FAQ
· Send an email. We will do our best to reply within 24 hours.
In all support cases include your mobile phone number, phone model as well as what operator you are connected to. Please also describe the problem sequence in detail so that we can help you in a best possible way.
Q - I have downloaded a trial, how can I convert this to a regular user
A – You have 2 options:
You can log in to your wegolf web page, and if your trial has expired you will be taken directly to the pay site. If you are still within your 14 day trial you will se a yellow bar on the top of the screen. As soon as you have paid your account is open. Note that not all banks support this secure payment, so if you have problems we recommend alternative 2.
Select PRICE AND ORDER in the left menu + Your currency. Select the pay button and follow instructions. Note - remember to enter your phone number so that we can open your account. If your account is not open within 24 hours please send us an email including your pay code and mobile number and we will check it up.
For both options ou do not need to do anything else, and can continue to use the "trial" which will be opened up and converted to a regular version.

Q – I'm unable to download courses or players (Cannont connect to internet)
A - This is due to the WAP settings in your phone. You can get the correct WAP settings from your operator for free. Note that some operators requires that you disable the Proxy.

A - If you have bought and paid the program you can press next and your phone will connect to our server, verify your number and then open up both phone and web for you automatic. If this does not work for you, send us an email and we will look at it.
If you have not paid you can open your subscription by logging on to your wegolf web site, pay and everything will open automatic. Alternatively select PRICE AND ORDER in the left menu + Your currency. Select the pay button and follow instructions. Note - remember to enter your phone number so that we can open your account. If your account is not open within 24 hours please send us an email including your pay code and mobile number and we will check it up.
Q – How can I renew my subscription
A - You have two options:
Recommended: Log in to your WeGolf web site. You will then, if your account is suspended, be taken to the pay site and your account will open up instantly after paymen.

Q – What is the difference between Public and Private Courses on the web?
A. - Public courses are available for all users to download. Private courses are courses that you have entered or modified with additional points of interestt. WeGolf copies from Private to Public regularily increasing the number of courses and benefiting all users.

Q - Can I enter my own courses?
A - Yes, there are 2 ways.

The phone must support the standard JSR-82.

Q - What phones can be used with a built in GPS?
The phone must support the standard JSR-179.

Version 4.5.0 or higher - All versions with a built in GPS.

A – This is the last four digits of your phone number. (unless you have changed it under My Details on your wegolf web page - Log in here, to change your password)

Q - I have downloaded WeGolf but can't find it on my phone
A – After downloading WeGolf, you will normally be asked where to store it. If not, most phones stores WeGolf in the Programs / Application folder while on some Sony Ericsson phones, it is stored in Games.
Q - If I upgrade or get a new phone, do I have to buy a new version of WeGolf?
A - No, as long as your subscription is valid you can download WeGolf at any time. We recommend you follow our news for upgrades, merchandise offers and more.

Backup - Always publish data on your mobile, players, courses and rounds. By this ensuring backup it lost or broken phone.
Pick up the ball - What score to enter if you pick up the ball. We recommend PAR + 5. That is 8-9-10 on respective par 3-4-5.
To make this easy, you can use the "*" key in the score screen, and the score and putts are entered automatic.
"Secret Keys" - "Easter Eggs"
"*" - In score picture automatic fills inn PAR + 5 and 2 putts
*#" - In score picture alternate between - distance from TEE to green - Statistics and score input
Keylock - If you have your phone in your pocket its easy to press keys by accident. Therefore use the keylock feature in the menu, this also works as a round timer.
Quick Guide - Map GPS Coordinates on phone
Start WeGolf on your phone. (Note If you have a Nokia N95 or other phone with built in GPS, select the INTERNAL GPS from the GPS menu before proceeding)

2. Open the Course you would like to map

4. Select hole
5. New
6. More -> Enable GPS
7. Enter Information about coordinate
8. More-> Save
Repeat the process for all points you want to register and publish the course. Send an email to WeGolf and we will make the course public for all users.
Q: How do I plot positions/strokes while playing
A: If you record what club you are using WeGolf will automatically plot your positions and strokes on satellite images from Google.
Start WeGolf on your phone. (Note If you have a phone with built in GPS, select the INTERNAL GPS from the GPS menu before proceeding)
Select Rounds->New
Select your Course
Selct: Distances and score -> Next
Select Players -> Next
Adjust Received Strokes -> Next
Select Hole - And you go to the Distance screen
When you are at the point where you want to hit the next shot: Select: Options -> Stroke Distance -> Club you use to hit
Your start position will be recorded, and have a grey bottom line displaying the club selection, and the distance increase as you move.
Ready to hit your next shot repeat the process: Select: Options -> Stroke Distance -> Club for next shot
WeGolf records the END position of your first stroke, and start measuring your next shot. Repeat the process until you are on the green, or decide to end ploting. Ending is done by: Options -> Stroke Distance -> Stop
TIP: Measuring the distance is also helpful when looking for your ball. Start the shot tracking and you have the distance you have walked in the display. If you know that you hit average 287 meter with your driver. Walk 287 m in the direction you hit and you are likely to find the ball easier.
Q: Cannot Install - jar and jad attributes does not match
A: Clear the cache in your phone. For instructions on how to do this please refer your phone manual.
Q: I have problems paying on the web because of the secure ID
A: We recommend that you go to www.wegolf.net select ORDER and your currency. This pay option should work for all users. Remember to include your mobile phone number so that we can verify that your account is open as it should be.
A: No, unfortunately the iPhone has no support for Java programs yet. It is said to be coming so suggest to make a phone-call to your local Apple support.

Q: My phone has Microsoft OS will it work?
A: This depends on how extensive Java support is implemented in the phones. In general most phones with MS OS has basic java support and therefore will work fine with scorecard, statistics, livescore, but not support distances with GPS. However, we recommend to download the free trial and test it. Aftern download you can find what your phone supports under About in the main menu.
